台湾の世界大会執行委員会から大会の詳細が届いたので以下に（特に必要と思われる分だけ、また他から得た情報も含めて）お伝えする。

  16. VIETNAM上記の国（或いは地域の他にもイタリア、パキスタン、プエルトリコが参加を予定していたが中止となった。イタリアは役員のみ参加ともきいた。中国は政治的理由いわゆる「二つの中国」の問題で今回は不参加となった。日韓台とかたを並べる実力をもつ中国の不参加はきわめて残念である）。

    使用球はいわゆる台湾ボール（日本製より若干かたい）。

    サーフェースは日本製のカーペットコートとの情報もあるが未確認。

    The 11th the World Soft Tennis Championship will be held from 8th to 16th December 1999.

  4. Events:
    1. Team Competitions of both men and women
    2. Individual competitions:Singles and doubles of both men and women
  5. Competition Rules and Regulations:
    1. The soft tennis competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current ISTF Rueles.
    2. For both team and individual competitions ,preliminaries by round robin will be played in plural groups.Final tournament matches will be played by the winners of each group in the preliminaries.
    3. Men's and Women's Team Competitions .Each tie will consist of three doubles and two singles matches.The team winning three matches of the five will be the winner.The order of matches will be (1st)doublues,(2nd)singles,(3rd)double,(4th)single and (5th)double.
      In each tic,the following rules will be applied:
      1. A player may play amaximum of two matches:either two doubles or one single and one double,in a tie.
      2. The players who play in the first match(double) may not play in the third match(double).
      3. The player(s) who play either in the first or third matches(double)may play in the fifth match(double),but must play with a different partner.
      4. A player may not play in two singles matches
      5. All of the players playing in the five matches,first through fifth in each tie,must be registered at the time of submission of the order sheet prior to each of the team competitions.
    4. Individual Competitions
      In both of the preliminaries and the final tournament,the doubles will be decided by the best nine games and singles will be decided by the best of seven games

    Soft tennis balls approved by the CTATA shall be used.
